Gross me OUT, you slushies!

I know there are some things you should share and some NOT. This picture is on the iffy side, but Jeff thought that it was blog worthy. We were sitting on the porch waiting for Samantha (our 12 yr. old German Shepherd) to potty and there "they" were, SLUGS!!!....I just got chill bumps again, just typing the word slugs. Those little nasty's were squirming all over our dear family jack-o-lantern. We took the kids outside to see. L kept saying, "what is that"? B kept saying, "what, what are those slushies doing"? Slushies is a much cuter name, so we'll go with that. The picture says a thousand words.......sorry for the icky-ness, but ya know we can call it a science lesson. (the Elementary Education teacher in me tells me to do so) P.S. I know it's mean, but did you ever pour salt on a slug? Well, if you haven't........it melts them, diminishes them. So sad, but true.
Again, I love you guys and happy sleeping
Kathryn

You're supposed to pour salt on them and torture the shit out of them.

Oh my gosh - at first I thought they were gummy worms - then I read they were REAL! Eeeeeack! I don't think I could have got close enough to even take a picture.

(PS - Thanks for being a follower!) :)

Ugh, that is hysterically disgusting. Back in college, I let a punkin sit for so long on my porch that when I finally picked it up to throw it away, the soggy, moldy, mildewy bottom fell right out of it. I almost barfed it smelled so bad.

Eeewwww!! Now THAT would have been appropriate for a haunted house over the weekend! I poured salt on a slug when I was little. :)

Deanna, I live 3 hours north of you ...and a bit to the west.
When I lived in A town I remember seeing them, not often though. We don't really ever see them here, but I guess they REALLY like pumpkins. Uggh!
You can ask Miss JC or Caleb where I live though, they can tell you.
